POTHOLES are very much on the mind of Wellington Heath residents, ahead of anticipated repairs.
There is also a meeting scheduled between the highway authority’s contractor, Balfour Beatty and Herefordshire Council representatives.
Villagers are being asked to get in touch with ward councillor, Liz Harvey, to make their views know about potholes and road improvements in and around Wellington Heath.
Village correspondent, Peter Constantine said: “From the first car seen in Wellington Heath in 1897 the local roads have at first got better, then more recently, a daily obstacle course. Of the 700,000 potholes reported annually we have more than our fair share.
“Our local lanes are C classification or unclassified so the white lined craters marked on July 23 were due to be repaired within two months.”
Potholes are also tagged digitally by Balfour Beatty, using GPS technology.
