FIREFIGHTERS in Hereford were called to a rather unusual rescue this morning.
A crew from Hereford Fire Station were called to the aid of a female mallard duck that had become tangled in a fishing hook and line near Hampton Bishop at 11.20am this morning by the RSPCA.
The water rescue boat was launched and the crew worked to untangle the duck, which was left in the care of an RSPCA officer.
The RSPCA said the duck was later released.
