A MAN has died after collapsing in a Kingswinford street.
Emergency services crews were called to Market Street at 3.46pm yesterday (Tuesday October 1) and the man was taken to Russells Hall Hospital.
Despite the best efforts of medics, however, nothing could be done to save him and shortly after arrival at hospital he was pronounced dead.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said it sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car to the scene after receiving reports of a medical emergency.
On arrival, crews discovered a man who was given advanced specialist trauma care before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.
The spokesman added: "Sadly shortly after arrival at hospital it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased."
