WATER rescue teams were scrambled this morning after receiving reports of someone in the river.
Firefighters from Hereford were joined by the boat crew when they were called out to rescue the person, who was reported to be in the water near the Old Bridge in Hereford.
On arrival, they found the person had managed to clamber out of the water by themselves.
The person was taken by land ambulance to Hereford County Hospital after being assessed by paramedics at the scene.
