THE winner and runner up of the popular Echo Camera Club and Castle Cameras Air Festival photograph competition have been announced.
After much deliberation by Castle Cameras, they decided to award the first-place image to Rebecca Doggrell, for her portrait photo of the Lancaster bomber, which encapsulates the competition’s theme of land, sea and air.
She will win a £250 voucher to spend at Castle Cameras.
She said: “I go to the Air Festival most year and I always take my camera. Because I only do it as a hobby, to get the recognition for my photo is really nice.”
Runner up in the competition goes to Castle Cameras member Steve Hogan with his photo is the Super Pitts Muscle plane, which encapsulates the competition theme of land, sea and air.
He said: “I was quite excited when I took that smoke because of the clarity of the smoke.
“It made my day getting that shot. I want to thank Castle Cameras for choosing my picture.”
Steve will receive a £100 voucher to spend at the camera store.
Daily Echo Camera Club sponsors Castle Cameras liked the photos of the suited rubber ducks by Liz Mellor that they created a special Highly Commended award with a prize of a £20 Castle Cameras voucher.
