A WHOPPING £812 million was spent in small businesses across the UK last year on Small Business Saturday.

With only a week to go the campaign, which has American Express as is principal supporter, has significantly grown each year, and Herefordshire businesses are getting on board.

December 7 will see a scores of small businesses coming together to promote and support each other, many offering the public special offers and incentives to shop and trade locally.

Leominster: There will be free parking in Leominster for the day, sponsored by the town council.

There will also be a small biz market in Corn Square where independent businesses from across the county are invited to join in. Stalls are just £15, and home-based businesses are welcome too.

Ewyas Harold: The village centre will be a hive of activity, with local businesses collaborating to hold a festive promotional event.

it will include the Christmas lights turn-on, a free Santa's Grotto sponsored by local businesses, loyalty card draw, treasure hunt, a "spud bench press" challenge and Craswall Young Farmers' Club providing bacon rolls from 9.30am in Mailes's Butchers. You can round your day off with live music in the Dog Inn.

Rowlestone: As part of Small Business Saturday, Ty Gwyn cider Rowlestone, are hosting a wreath making class in their cider bar. £25 per head which includes a mulled cider (or tea/hot chocolate/coffee if you prefer), a mince pie, and of course the beautiful wreath you make! 

Kington:On small business Saturday they have a food festival with an array of 90+ small business stands.

Coleford: There will be four local brass bands playing in the town centre, and free parking.

The Gloucestershire town is full of small, award-winning independent shops and businesses, food, drink, gifts and more.
