A CRASH closed a busy main road in Herefordshire this afternoon (Tuesday) and two people were taken to hospital.

Police said the A465 was closed at Didley following the crash and remained closed for around two hours.

Two people were taken to hospital by West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene and a woman and man were treated.

The woman, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was taken to Hereford County Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The man, who was one of the drivers involved, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital in Hereford.
