TODAY marks the launch of a helicopter trip above coastal waters that Echo readers could win.

If you have ever fancied taking to the skies, you could get a bird’s eye view of Dorset, courtesy of the Daily Echo and Bliss Aviation of Bournemouth Airport.

We have partnered up with the aviation firm to offer two pairs of tickets for pleasure flights, one helicopter trial lesson and one aeroplane trial lesson.

Originally offering private flight tuition on helicopters and aeroplanes, Bliss Aviation have now expanded their CAA approvals to include an AOC (Air Operators Certificate), which now enables the company to offer commercial pleasure flights.

The firm, run by CEO Gary Ellson and managing director Ollie Lehmann, has operated for over 20 years and used to be known as Bournemouth Helicopters.

Gary said: “Our popular Christmas competition is back. Bliss Aviation in association with the Daily Echo are delighted to be offering the opportunity to win flights from Bournemouth Airport.

“Trial lessons offer an incredible opportunity to actually take the controls of the aircraft under the expert supervision of one of our experienced instructors.

Ollie said: "All of our flights provide an unforgettable way of viewing our incredible coastline from the best possible view.”
