PROBLEMS with the traffic lights on the A49 in Hereford are causing miles of queues south of the city.
There are "timing issues" with the lights, which are close to the A438 junction with the A49, according to Herefordshire Council.
Traffic is currently slow into the city from the Clehonger turn on the A465 and Grafton on the A49.
A Herefordshire Council spokesperson said: "We are aware of a signal fault affecting these lights and we are working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
"We are sorry for the inconvenience. There is no further information at this time."
UPDATE 3.40pm: The computer fault affecting lights has been fixed.
The spokesperson added traffic flow should return to normal once current queues have cleared.
