Armonico Consort and Baroque Orchestra will be raising the roof of Malvern Theatres this February, with the Mass in B Minor by JS Bach.
Christopher Monks will be the director and the soprano will be Elin Manahan.
A spokesman said: "Armonico Consort tour Bach’s Mass in B minor, one of his final compositions, is scattered with music and references that Bach considered to be his best work, or movements which he had allowed to
develop over time and had returned to ‘perfect’ at a later date.
"Soloist Elin Manahan Thomas joins Armonico Consort and Baroque Orchestra, playing on instruments of the period."
Elin Manahan Thomas is widely regarded one of the most exceptional sopranos of her generation. Since releasing her début album ‘Eternal Light’ in 2007, she has performed at many of the world’s most prestigious venues and festivals.
The date for the Malvern Concert will be Saturday, February 8, from 7.30pm. Tickets : 01684 892277
