Meeting Santa in his grotto and telling him what presents they would like for Christmas remains a popular tradition for children, and helping Santa fulfil his duties each year is a privilege for Hereford Lions Club.
The grotto at Oakchurch Country Store at Staunton-on-Wye was a great success yet again thanks to the Price family, who welcomed Santa to their store.
Lions also thank all the families who made generous donations to the club’s charity fund.
Each evening in December Santa in his sleigh toured the streets of the city and surrounding villages to be met by thousands of children, and the Lions Club extends its gratitude for the donations which will be put to good use in the community.
Being part of the wonderful Christmas story – and bringing joy to the children – really is a special treat for our members, and the support of the community throughout our 60 years of service is greatly appreciated.
