Police scotch reports of attacks on women in Hereford

Officers were moved to make the statement after a picture alleging there had been “serious reports of a man attacking women” in the Aylestone Hill and Whittern Way Area was widely shared on a number of Facebook groups and pages.

"We would like to reassure the public that there have been no formal police reports of this nature in the days or weeks leading up to the post being put on Facebook," local policing sargeant Duncan Reynolds said.

"As always we remind people to remain vigilant when out after dark and to report any suspicious activity to 101 or 999 in an emergency."
