A FAMILY of spoons have taken up residence on a grass verge outside Busy Bees nursery.
Emma Davis, who works at the nursery on Bye Street, said: “Even though we’re currently closed due to the pandemic, we still want the children to be playing, learning and as part of their community.
“I had the idea of setting up a spoon person family in a prominent place where people could admire them.
“Children (and grown ups!) have been decorating the spoons I’ve left outside Busy Bees.
“We’ve had some amazing characters - minions, footballers, and children’s television characters.

“It’s been wonderful to receive comments from members of the public, saying how it makes them smile seeing the spoon family grow.
“New ones are popping up every day!
“Thanks to a kind donation, I’ve been able to purchase more wooden spoons.
“This means not only our children can be involved but anyone in the community.”
