A Hereford home care agency was first out of the blocks in terms of nominations for the 2020 Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards.

Here4care boss Stacey Probert sent in the first entry, for the Care Trainer award.

She has nominated Dominic Coleman, who has become a registered trainer and is “flying through” his level 5 qualification.

He works out in the field, and uses that experience to feed into his training sessions.

He is helped, says Stacey, by an infectious presence.

“He has a fantastic rapport with staff and families and a massive smile on his face.

“He fills every room with laughter and guarantees to bring the happiness out of people.”

There is no better time to pay tribute to our care heroes than during the current coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.

Here4Care is a home care agency for adults and offers support in Dementia, domestic services/home help, elderly care, learning disability, personal hygiene care, physical disability and sensory impairment.

So far, Stacey says, Here4care has not been affected by staff or client sickness, but we know that the health and care sector generally are facing massive pressure and the dedicated workforce have never been more important.
