Official figures show that three more cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Herefordshire.

Public Health England figures show that 448 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am Thursday morning (June 4) in Herefordshire, up from 445 the same time on Wednesday. A week before, there were 439 cases.

It means cases have increased by 1% over the last 24 hours, on a par with the rate of increase across the UK of 1%.

CORONAVIRUS NEWS:

They were among the 25,655 cases recorded across the midlands, a figure which rose by 93 over the period.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.

Across the UK, 281,661 people had tested positive for coronavirus as of 9am on Thursday, up from 279,856 at the same point on Wednesday, Department of Health and Social Care figures show.

As of 5pm on Wednesday, 39,904 people had died, including 51 in hospital in Herefordshire.
