A BOY was injured in a crash which closed a busy road in Hereford last night.
St Owen Street was closed at the junction with Grove Road and motorists were asked to avoid the area following the crash.
An ambulance service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.57pm last night to reports of a collision involving a car and cyclist on St Owen Street in Hereford.
"We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene. We treated a boy, who was the cyclist, for injuries not believed to be life threatening.
"He was taken on blue lights and sirens to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.
"The driver of the car, a woman, was assessed and discharged at the scene.”
A fire service spokesperson said a crew was called to the scene at 7.59pm, where they made the vehicle safe.
The road was later reopened.
