ONLY one of 23 local areas in Herefordshire reported new cases of coronavirus last week, new figures show.

The latest breakdown, area by area, shows where there were positive cases of Covid-19 found between July 20 and July 26.

The data is provided by Public Health England and looks at cases by 'Middle Super Output Area' - a type of statistical unit used in the reporting of small area statistics, with 23 of these areas in Herefordshire.

It provides figures for areas which have had three or more positive cases, so some areas may have had positive cases, but as the number falls below three will not show on the map.

In Herefordshire, it was only the area of Colwall, Cradley and Wellington Heath which saw new cases recorded.

Some 10 were recorded there last week, down from 42 the week before, but are thought to be linked to to AS Green and Co - the farm which has been at the centre of a coronavirus outbreak.

Data includes lab confirmed positive cases of Coronavirus reported by July 29 with specimen dates between July 20 and July 26.

Cases from pillar 1 and pillar 2 of the Government's testing programme are included.

It comes as officials rule out any public review into the handling of the coronavirus outbreak at Rook Row Farm in Mathon.

So far, more than 134 workers linked to the vegetable grower have tested positive with Covid-19.

Public health officers conducted mass testing after a single positive case was identified among the more than 200 workers who live at the farm.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
