1. Mint leaf beetle by Nicky Fraser

This startling metallic green beetle impressed amateur photographer Nicky Fraser.

Nicky, who lives near Ross-on-Wye, had to google the creature to find out that it is a mint leaf beetle.

They grow up to 10mm, and they body is an iridescent green peppered with tiny indentations.

Unsurprisingly, they are nearly always found on mint.

Beetles often catch the eye of members of the Hereford Times Camera Club.
