A DOG was stuck on a rock under the Silver Jubilee bridge on Sunday morning.
Two fire engined were called to Mersey Road in Widnes to help rescure the dog at around 9.15am.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire crews rescued a dog stuck on a rock surrounded by water under the old Runcorn bridge.
"The tide was coming in quite fast and the sandbank was decreasing in size.
"Two water swift personnel quickly entered the water with an inflatable raft to reach the dog.
"He was then brought to safety and reunited with his owner."
