Four members of staff at B&Q’s distribution centre near South Marston have tested positive for coronavirus, the company confirmed.
More than 1,000 people across the town have been diagnosed with the virus. Swindon was placed on a government watchlist on Friday as an area of concern after a mini-outbreak saw almost 80 members of staff at an Iceland distribution centre test positive.
In a statement, B&Q confirmed there were four confirmed coronavirus cases at its Swindon distribution centre. Another two members of staff are awaiting test results.
A spokeswoman said all six were self-isolating. “Of the colleagues contacted through the local track and trace procedure, all self isolated immediately and were tested to confirm it was safe for them to return to work.”
