Taste - a new farm shop deli has opened in the heart of Montgomery.

Deputy Mayor Jill Kibble had the honour of cutting the ribbon and declaring the Broad Street shop open on Monday, August 10.

Taste Montgomery has more than 30 members who are food producers and hospitality providers in the area.

“It’s purpose is to co-ordinate, enhance and promote what Montgomery and the locality has to offer," chairperson Philip Owens said.

"Particularly at this difficult time the aim is to encourage more visitors to the area as well as offering the local population more diversity and choice.

"By working and co-operating with existing businesses, a more prosperous economy will result benefitting everyone".

The farm shop deli will open from 2pm to 7.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Food and drinks will be served during the evening to "open more of the town’s attractions to visitors and locals alike", Mr Owens added.
