If you want to welcome a new animal into your home, it is always better to adopt than buy.

Luckily, there are so many adorable animals right here in Worcestershire that need your love.

However, you need to remember that an animal is for life and not just for lockdown- before you start the adoption process you need to make sure you're capable of looking after an animal so they don't end up back in the shelter.

Here are just five cats and dogs who are looking for a new home.

Phil used to be a stray and not a lot is known about his history. However, it’s thought he came from a working background but didn’t live up to expectations.

He still needs a little training, but he is young and constantly learning as he grows.

He has a nervous nature with other people and it will take time for him to gain your trust.

However, these nerves disappear around other dogs and he is described as “a real flirt” with them- this means he can be rehomed with other dogs.
