NEIL Ransome is an MG Rover man, owning two – although he also says “over the years, I’ve always been a Ford guy”.
Neil, who lives in Worcester, owns a 2001 MGZT190+ and a 2003 MGZR105+.
“I love MG Rovers,” he said, “but over the years I’ve always been a Ford guy and owned many British cars American ‘muscle’ cars too, such as Mustangs, Galaxies and pick-up trucks.”
Neil’s ZT is the showcar in the household due to its rarity and MG History, and is about to be featured in a classic car magazine.
“The ZR is my daily driver, and visits the occasional show/meet.”
What does his family think?
“They are happy I’m happy, I’ve always owned beautiful cars and enjoy them.”
And this was obvious right from the start of his car-owning life, his first car being “an immaculate” 1971 VW Beetle 1300.

And if he had the chance of a dream car?
“That’s a tough one, but my all-time dream car would have to be a 1970 Boss Mustang 302 Fastback – in Grabber Orange.”
No question about Neil’s favourite famous vehicle – the Mad Max 1971 Interceptor (from the original Mad Max Film in 1979 starring Mel Gibson): “It’s just a beautifully built loud fast Australian muscle car and it’s just badass looking.”
