2,000 pigs have been rescued from a barn fire.
Firefighters were called to the fire, which started in hot weather at a barn in Pencombe, near Bromyard.
Crews from Bromyard, Leominster, Peterchurch and Hereford were called to the blaze, using four pumps and two water carriers.
A number of pigs were taken to safety from an adjacent building, while crews used foam to tackle the flames, a fire service spokesperson said.
Firefighters remained on-site over night between September 14 and 15, and a Bromyard Fire Station spokesman said: "A very busy afternoon for several fire crews across the two counties.
"Seven pumps and two water carriers were called to deal with a large agriculture building containing straw bails that were stored in a large open barn.
"The building was between a building containing 1,000 pigs on one side and a maintenance and service area with living accommodations.
"Crews worked hard to bring the fire under control, water was pumped to the fire ground from two large on-site pools, some of the pigs were moved to other building and none were injured at the incident.
"Fire crews will remain on site damping down hot spots."
