TWO parish councillors have been found in breach of the code of conduct.
Clifford parish councillors Margaret Davies and Billie Jones did not leave a council meeting in May 2018 while a planning application in which they had a pecuniary interest was being discussed.
They also discussed the minutes of a meeting in February this year which contained an item in which they had a pecuniary interest.
Herefordshire Council’s monitoring officer and an independent person found that councillors Davies and Jones breached the code of conduct.
The decision notice against coun Jones says: “Where a councillor owns land adjoining a planning application, they would be deemed to have a direct interest in the matter being discussed and should declare a Schedule 1 interest.”
