A HEREFORD care home is celebrating after being given a perfect 10 in a recent quality review.

It’s one of a number of recent nomination awards and accolades for the Rotherwood Healthcare Group, who have three homes in the county.

The Gwen Walford nursing home on Hereford's Hampton Park Road, has just received 10 out of 10 from the leading care home review site carehome.co.uk.

Dan Bridges, Registered Manager of Gwen Walford and its nearby sister home, Hampton Grange, said: “I am extremely proud. It makes us one of the top-rated homes in Herefordshire.

“Seeing the hard work and dedication of our outstanding healthcare team being recognised by residents and relatives is fantastic.

Meanwhile care assistant Ryan Anderson, Clinical Lead Oana Gidofalvi and Senior Healthcare Assistant Angela Dallow, all from Gwen Walford, have been named as finalists in the Hereford Times Health and Social Care awards.

They are in the running for the Care Home Worker; Good Nurse and Care Trainer titles.

Hampton Grange Activities Coordinator Nicky Thomas is in the running for the Dementia Carer title.

Senior Health Care Assistant Michelle Prideaux, who works at Rotherwood's Lynhales home in Lyonshall , is shortlisted in Dementia Carer category.

The awards take place on October 22 in the form of a live online broadcast hosted by Good Morning Britain’s Dr Hilary Jones and with a series of celebrities popping in with special messages.
