PUPILS at Broadlands Primary School were treated to a visit from an urban pop group in June 2000.
The group, Soul U*nique rounded off a tour, supporting boy band 5ive, by calling in to a number of schools.
The pupils had a sneak preview of the group’s news single 3iL, which was due to be released the month after the group visit to Broadlands.
Soul U*nique members Ben Rogers, Kwa-shaan, Marc Jason and Kate Meranda were pictured with Broadlands youngsters Edward Deutsch, Gareth Thomas, Charlotte Axtell and Samantha Gilbert.
Despite the tour, the group never saw a song reach the top 40 charts.
