THERE has been another 14 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Herefordshire today, health officials have confirmed.
The latest figures from Public Health England figures show that as of 9am on Friday (October 16) 1,160 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Herefordshire since the start of the pandemic.
It means 14 new cases have been confirmed today, as the total is up from 1,146 the same time on Thursday.
The graph below shows the number of cases in Herefordshire by date of test, and not the day when the cases were published by PHE. There can be a few days while waiting for tests results to be returned from laboratories.
The overall rate of infection in Herefordshire now stands at 602 cases per 100,000 people, but that remains far lower than the England average of 1,039.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 15,635 over the period, to 689,257.
Herefordshire's cases were among the 59,937 recorded across the West Midlands, a figure which rose by 1,696 over the period.
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.

Latest figures from NHS England, which cover up to 4pm on Thursday (October 15) show that no more patients had died with coronavirus at the Wye Valley NHS Trust.
The figures show 59 people have so far died at hospitals in Herefordshire after testing positive for coronavirus.
Across the UK, the Government said a further 136 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19, as of Friday. This brings the UK total to 43,429.
Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have now been 58,500 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
