If you were wondering what had happened to your favourite Lancashire radio station this morning, then worry no more.

At around 6am on Friday, instead of Graham Liver and his team, BBC Radio Lancashire was replaced by BBC Radio Cumbria, as the station announced it was experiencing 'technical difficulties'.

The breakfast show team were off air for the best part of an hour, so Graham and his fellow presenters could rush home and broadcast from their bedrooms.

They were back on air at around 7am, with Graham announcing how lovely the view was from his back bedroom window in Preston.

A spokesperson for BBC Radio Lancashire posted on social media: "Due to technical issues, we can't bring you Graham Liver at Breakfast at the moment.

"Graham Liver and the team will be with you as soon as possible."

The Lancashire Telegraph understands that the radio station's HQ in Blackburn town centre is currently undergoing a deep clean after a number of staff members tested positive for the coronavirus.

A BBC Spokesperson said: “We have stringent Covid protocols to keep our staff safe and to ensure we continue broadcasting.”
