A 32-year-old woman has been charged with murder following the death of a 75-year-old man.
Police were called around 3.50am on March 6 to a report of a serious assault at an address in Cedar Grove.
Emergency services attended the Longton property and found Raymond Conlan, 75, inside the property with serious injuries to his head and body.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene but sadly died, with a Home Office post mortem confirming his death was a result of stab injuries.
A woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and was later detained under the Mental Health Act.

She is due to make a further appearance at Preston Crown Court today (Friday, October 23).
