A NUMBER of road closures are in force or planned in Herefordshire to allow for essential roads maintenance works.

A Herefordshire Council spokesperson said the A40 from Lower Weston Farm to Ryeford, Weston under Penyard, will be closed from 9am to 5pm for two weeks from today while resurfacing works take place.

A signed diversion is in place.

The A44 from Noakes Bridge to The Farthings, near Bromyard, will be closed daily between 9am and 5pm from November 9 to (and including) November 17 for resurfacing works.

There will be no weekend working at the site.

A 9am to 5pm closure is also set to come into effect on the B4361 Bridge Street from the A44 to the River Lugg in Leominster from November 9 to (and including) Wed 11th November 11 for resurfacing works.

In Ross-on-Wye, the B4260 Wilton Road will be closed for five days from today, October 26, to allow for vegetation and debris removal from the roadside cliff.

Local access to Wye Street is not affected.
