THE number of recorded coronavirus cases in Herefordshire increased by 36 over 24 hours up to Monday November 9, official figures show.

Public Health England statistics show that 1,749 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Monday (November 9) in Herefordshire.

An interactive Government tracker map shows there were 9 confirmed cases in the Ledbury area, over 7 days up to November 4. This represents a zero per cent rise on the previous week.

In the neighbouring Wellington Heath, Colwall and Cradley area, there was a 200 per cent rise, but that represented only 6 new cases in total.

There was a slight fall in the Dymock, Hartpury and Huntley zone, but 12 cases were still recorded there.

Three cases were logged in the Fownhope, Tarrington and Much Marcle area,

Four cases were logged in Newent, a rise of 100 cent on the previous week.
