THE A49 is blocked between Leominster and Ludlow due to a crash, West Mercia Police has said.

Officers have urged to public to avoid the area around The Salway Arms while emergency services deal with the incident.

The force said: "Road traffic collision [on the] A49 Woofferton to Ludlow by the Salway Arms.

"Please avoid whilst police and emergency services deal and to avoid delays."

Travel website Inrix added: "A49 both ways partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident near The Salway Arms. Affecting traffic between Ludlow and Leominster."
