A DOG walker has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after falling in a field near Leominster.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called shortly after 9am this morning to the field in Monkland, with one ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance sent to the scene.
With help from Leominster, Hereford and Eardisley fire crews, the man was taken by air ambulance to Hereford County Hospital.
"We were called at 9.09am to reports of a patient who had fallen near Monkland Village Road," an ambulance service spokesperson said.
"We sent one ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham to the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was treated for serious injuries, but not believed to be life-threatening, and airlifted to Hereford County Hospital."
The Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Leominster added it helped rescue the dog walker who had fallen and damaged his left lower leg in a flooded field.
"The rescue was made easier with the help of local farmer Nathan Marfell with his Manatu loader," they added.
