CHANNEL 5 has confirmed that its hit medical show Skin A&E is returning for a second season – and it is searching for participants from Herefordshire.

Set in a clinic, the series follows a team of the UK’s leading consultant dermatologists as they treat patients with a range of skin conditions.

The series is now looking for people from Hereford with various medical conditions to feature. The show will see a team of top UK dermatologists give participants a free consultation, advice and medical treatment, if appropriate.

The last series featured a lady with a golf-ball sized lipoma on her tummy and a man with multiple, explosive cysts on his back.

As well as a no-filter look at their surgery or treatment, the production company said the series reflected how living with such skin conditions had affected both the quality of life and often mental health of the patients.

Production company Boom Cymru TV said: "Our casting team is currently looking for people in Hereford who would like the opportunity to see a consultant dermatologist and potentially receive free treatment for their skin complaint.

"We are looking for people who have, for example, been told that their condition cannot be treated on the NHS, perhaps they are on a long waiting list for treatment or the treatment they have been hoping to receive has been delayed.

It added: "Applicants who are picked must be willing to talk openly and frankly about their condition and be available for filming for one day in April or May 2021.

All applicants must be legal residents of the UK, currently live in the UK and be aged 18 and above.
