I SEE some of your readers have already related their experiences of parking at Queenswood. I have had one with a difference. I recently stopped there for a picnic lunch, after taking my wife to the County Hospital for an eye injection.
I displayed my blue disabled badge, and went to the shop as per instructions. The shop was shut. We had our lunch and left as my wife was not feeling well enough to go for a walk.
RELATED NEWS:
Soon afterwards I got a £100 fine notice. I submitted an appeal and my notice was withdrawn, but I have been told that if the shop is shut on a future occasion I must pay the full fee. I have enjoyed going to the arboretum and using the shop and cafe, but I will give it a miss in future in case I have a nasty shock.
