Enjoy the fine weather and spring blossom while it lasts... wind and rain is on the way for Herefordshire.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind on Bank Holiday Monday (May 3).

It is likely to leave the current show of blossom in the county's orchards and hedgrows looking bedraggled.

The warning is in force from noon until 9am on Tuesday and means:

  • Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
  • Some bus and train services may be affected, with some journeys taking longer
  • Damage to outdoor temporary structures is possible, and some tree branches may be brought down

The Met Office expects today to be dry and bright before there are scattered showers, some heavy at times, later. Maximum temperature 15C.

But tomorrow the weather will be rougher, with heavy rain and strong winds from the west during the late morning. Maximum temperature 11C.
