A WARRANT has been issued for a Worcester man accused of calling other people paedophiles.

Magistrates in Worcester issued the warrant after 41 year-old Kelly Edwards failed to attend his hearing.

He was charged with a number of counts of breaking a criminal behaviour order first imposed back in 2017.

In the first charge, he was accused of shouting "paedophile" at staff in Worcester between February 1 and June 4 last year.

He originally pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared in court on March 11 this year, but failed to attend his hearing on May 28, with the verdict being proved in his absence.

The second charge accused him of using abusive language against a woman at the Ketch Caravan Park on April 5 last year.

Thirdly, he was accused of calling two council workers "nonces" and "paedos" in Worcester on August 26 last year.

This was followed by another similar offence, calling a third council employee a "paedo".

These charges were also denied, but Edwards, of Barbourne Road, failed to appear for his court date on May 28, so magistrates issued a warrant for his arrest without bail, proving some of the charges in his absence.

The criminal behaviour orders imposed on Edwards, who also goes by the aliases Kelly St John Edwards and Naz, were imposed by magistrates in Worcester on October 17 and October 19 this year.

On those occasions, he was given the orders for spitting towards a person or property and playing loud music at an unsociable hour.

The other order was for behaving in an aggressive, threatening manner or using insulting or racist language towards others or within the hearing of others who are alarmed or distressed by it.
