LEDBURY residents hoping to have their say on plans for future development in the town can attend two drop-in sessions.

The town council is staging two of the NDP sessions under the Market House, with the consultation consultation on the revised plan continuing until 16 July 2021 with a ‘call for favourite views’.

Many responses to the public consultation questionnaire have already been received and all residents 16 or over are encouraged to complete the survey.

If anyone has not yet received their copy of the leaflet and questionnaire they should contact the Council by email to clerk@ledburytowncouncil.gov.uk or they can access them via the QR code below.

The sessions are on Wednesday, July 7, from 2pm – 6pm and Wednesday, July 14 from 9am to 1pm where residents will have the opportunity to ask questions about the proposed revisions to the plan, although numbers at any time may have to be controlled as Covid-19 restrictions will still apply.

The Council is also seeking residents’ input on their ‘Favourite local views and landscapes’ asking them to send in photographs or drawings with some words about why the view/landscape matters to them.

This will help the Neighbourhood Development Team to understand what aspects of landscape and townscape are valued by local people so that they can be protected and enhanced.

Submissions should be sent to the Town Council, preferably by email to clerk@ledburytowncouncil.gov.uk or by post to Ledbury Town Council Offices, Church Street, Ledbury, HR8 1DH and should reach the Council by Friday, 16 July.

Neighbourhood Plans remain current for 2-years from adoption so an update is due, and in particular, feedback on whether or not the town wishes to incorporate a ‘settlement boundary’ in the plan is now sought because the suggestions for a settlement boundary were not accepted by the examiner in the current plan.

Incorporating a settlement boundary has always been seen by the Council as a priority matter for this revision.
