STRIKER Dave Reynolds will return to Malvern Town for the new season, it has been confirmed.

Reynolds has played for Malvern in the past three pre-season games having turned out for Worcester City against Cheltenham Saracens last month.

The striker has been a regular on the scoresheet for The Hillsiders over the years and will now return to the HDAnywhere Community Stadium to join up with the squad ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

“It’s great to have Reyno back on board,” said manager, Lee Hooper.

“It’s obvious in the three games he has been back with us that his quality, desire and competitiveness is still there.

“He will be a great asset to us with his experience at this level. I have known him many years as a friend and team-mate; we had a chat a few weeks ago and it was clear that he wanted to spend his final years of playing in a Malvern Town shirt, which is great news for us.

“He is a local lad and knows the club’s vision on and off-the-pitch. If he keeps playing with the attitude and quality shown so far, it will be a great addition to the squad and help us push on again.”

Reynolds is Town's second signing of the summer following the capture of another former Worcester City player, defender, James Timmins.

Town are back in home pre-season action on Tuesday evening against higher level opponents in the shape of Evesham United. Kick-off is at 7.45pm at the HDANYWHERE Community Stadium.
