FORMER Worcester City striker Andy Nicol recorded a second-half hat-trick during Darlaston Town's 5-0 pre-season win over Willenhall Town.
Nicol, who decided to leave Worcester City earlier this year for family reasons, bagged the match ball in sweltering conditions at The Paycare Ground.
The former City front man has signed for the Midland Football League Division One side for the 2021/22 campaign despite receiving offers from those at Step Five and an approach from Sporting Khalsa in Step Four.
But ultimately the location of Darlaston worked best for Nicol, who is now looking forward to a successful campaign with his new club that play in the Midland Football League Division One, a level below Worcester in Step Six.
