A STOURBRIDGE art gallery is to showcase the thought-provoking works of three Midlands artists.

New works by Shaun Morris, Gerald Rushton and Andrew Smith can be seen in the Common Ground exhibition which runs at General Office from Saturday September 18 until Sunday October 10.

The artists were voted winners of the gallery's long running lockdown interrupted Open Exhibition 2020/21 as the judges felt they had presented work that took risks in both the choice of subject and the creative methods of observing and exploring them.

Simon Meddings, owner of General Office, in Hagley Road, said: "We are very excited to bring these three artists together and experience their recent investigations through painting, drawing, film and poetry."

Common to each artist is the role of place and its enduring nature, and their work looks at buildings and spaces - through night and day, beyond the passage of people, politics and climate.

The gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday - 11am to 4pm.
