WOLLASTON friends Sue McDowall and Sheila Wrigley are back and set to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning once again.

Covid-19 restrictions meant they could not hold their annual fundraiser last year but they are now planning to go ahead with one on Saturday September 25 from 9.30am to 11.30am at Wollaston Methodist Church, Cobden Street, Wollaston.

People are invited to join them for some cake, a cuppa and a chat to help raise money for Macmillan which supports people and loved ones affected by cancer.

The charity was founded in 1911 and has since grown to be a leading source of cancer support and its annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, which first began in 1990, has raised more than £290 million.

The money goes towards its Macmillan Nurses who help 157 cancer patients each.

Proceeds from the Wollaston coffee morning will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
