BROMYARD’S Texaco garage is due reopen on Friday, October 8, after a month-long refit that includes a new Costcutter store, Costa Coffee and hot food.
The garage on the bypass closed on September 5 for the work, with the finishing touches being completed this week.
As part of a wholesale agreement, Costcutter stores carry some some lines of Co-op stock as part of their overall offering.
Signage stating this has sparked negative comments online, with some residents pointing out that the town already had two Co-op stores.
The operator of the store, who gave his name as Nirushan, was keen to point out that Costcutter was entirely separate from Co-op. “We only sell some Co-op products,” he said.
“We have been working really hard for the past month, and are looking forward to welcoming customers.”
