CHILDREN at Busy Bees preschool in Ledbury have welcomed the arrival of autumn by making the most of nature’s bounty.
Conkers, as well as pinecones and other free gifts of the season, have been used for learning about everything from counting to types of shape.
A member of staff at the nursery said: “We’ve enjoyed a conker-tastic day of fun!
“We’ve been counting conkers, matching them to the numeral and sorting them depending on whether they’re round or flat. Some were subjected to the roll test down a chute!”
