PUBLIC bonfires and firework displays are due to draw the crowds across Herefordshire this weekend.

On Friday, November 5, there will be a display at Ann Cam Primary School in Dymock from 6pm. The event, which is free but invites voluntary donations, will feature a bar, barbecue and “glow stall”.

Also on the day itself, Ross-in-Wye Lions will be celebrating their 50 years of service to the community with an event at the Wilton Road carpark from 6pm. Refreshments will be available and the firework display starts at 7pm.

Other Bonfire celebrations — all of them further afield in the county — are planned for Saturday, November 6. These include in Orleton, near Ludlow, Abergavenny, Aymestrey, Kington, Dilwyn and Presteigne.
