A BONFIRE Night at the Ann Cam Primary School in Dymock raised more than £5,500 for school funds last week.

The event, which was free but invited voluntary donations, featured a bar, barbecue and glow stall.

The school’s PTFA is already working on another fundraiser with plans for a Christmas Fayre on Friday, November 26.

As well a chance to meet Santa in his Grotto, youngsters can get to know Bobby the Pony, Bertie the Lamb, Nancy the Goat and Joey the Tortoise.

The free event starts at 5.30pm and also features stalls, games, raffle, hot food and a bar serving mulled wine.

In the meantime, pupils of the school are preparing for a concert at St Mary’s Church next Thursday (November 18). Tickets for the 2pm performance are available at £3 by calling Bob May on 01531 890676.
