FOUR people have been arrested after a cross-border pursuit involving the police helicopter.
West Mercia Police said a quad bike was stolen from Glasbury, near Hay-on-Wye, at around 8pm on Tuesday (November 16).
After crossing the border into Herefordshire, the operational policing unit for the county said it started pursuing a vehicle involved in the theft.
It finally came to an end when four people in the vehicle, one of whom tried to hide in a river, were arrested in Stanford Bishop, on the A4103 between Hereford and Worcester.
OPU colleagues from Worcestershire, the police dog team and the police helicopter were also involved in the chase.
With the vehicle stopped, police officers said three were arrested immediately.
The fourth person from the vehicle ran into the river Teme, but officers said they were found a short time later by the dog and helicopter.
