THE Jenkinson Frith Duo, with Richard Jenkinson on cello and Benjamin Frith, piano, will perform at Hellens Manor in Much Marcle tomorrow. (Saturday, November 20)
A member of the Dante Quartet and former Principal Cello of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Richard is one of Britain’s most respected cellists. Benjamin is an internationally-acclaimed pianist who has appeared with many of the world’s finest orchestras. He is also a member of the celebrated Gould Piano Trio.
The programme comprises three cello sonatas, Kodaly’s Cello Sonata Op 4, Beethoven’s Cello Sonata No 3 in A Op 69 and Rachmaninov’s Cello Sonata in G minor Op 19.
