8th Ledbury Community Day plans announced

The 8th Ledbury Community Day, the day when groups and organisations who serve Ledbury and District show what they do, will be held in 2022 on Saturday 4th June, within Ledbury’s celebration weekend for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

After missing 2020 and 2021 because of Covid restrictions, the event will take place again in the Burgage and St Katherine’s Halls, the Community Centre and other venues in Ledbury. Most venues will be open between 10am and 2pm.

Paul Kinnaird of the organising committee said, “It’s a great opportunity for groups and organisations to meet you, to tell about the services they offer, to seek volunteers and new members, and to show you how they can help their lives in all kinds of ways from learning and interests to well-being and support.

“It’s a good way to find out what goes on in Ledbury and what you can play a part in. In 2019 nearly eighty different groups and organisations took part in this popular event.”

Invitations to take part in the event will sent out in February to local groups serving Ledbury and District. The organisers will be pleased to hear from any recently established local groups interested in joining the event at info@ledburycommunityday.org.uk – taking part is free. For those who have taken part before, use this address to advise any changes in contact details.

The organisers would be pleased also to hear from anyone who would like to help with the event in planning, organising, stewarding or contributing to keep this worthwhile and special Ledbury event running.
